Top Ten Affirmations to Say with Your Child
HOW WE UTILZE AFFIRMATIONS FOR A SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL DAY
Our school year is in full swing. Some mornings, none of us are feeling it? Anyone else?
We have been starting our school days with affirmations. I used to think the only people who said affirmations were people on the hippie train, but apparently God designed our brains to respond to the things we say to and about ourselves. Our limbic system (that controls your emotions), the amygdala in particular, was made to respond to smells.
I combined affirmations and GeneYus essential oil blend for a good school day. I put a drop in each kid’s palm and they cup their hands over their nose and breathe deep as they say their affirmations. Things like :
I have the ability to figure things out.
I am a good friend.
I am kind and loving.
I am a good listener.
I am helpful.
I work hard.
I can do hard things.
I am truthful.
I am free to be myself.
I am focused and persistent. I will never quit.
The difference is amazing! We all say affirmations. Some affirmations are positive and some affirmations are negative.
There are a whole bunch of studies on PubMed about the difference affirmations make in the classroom! Tell me below: do you say affirmations with your kids?
